- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)later a man was burying a cow on the side of this hill.
When he had dug about three feet deep he found something hard. He took a pick to it and after much hard labour he succeeded in taking a bit out of it. When he examined it well he came to the conclusion that it was silver. News of the treasure spread rapidly, and several people came to bring some silver home.
No matter how much they dug or how hard they picked, not a bit of it could they break. One night this hill lit up and the people were greatly alarmed. They all ran to the scene and they heard a voice saying, "Depart ye all, and dig no more silver".
Before this, prophecies were made, that whoever would get silver out of this hill would have bad luck. It was true, because the man who got some when he was burying the cow, was killed a week afterwards.- Bailitheoir
