  1. Killatee got its name from an old thatched church which was at Killatee forth. It is said that the buts of the walls still stand but nobody can be got to point out the spot. There is a field behind our house called the Dresser because it is flat on the top then very steep and flat on the botton Mr Coyle baught a farm in Killarue a field of which is called the Smoothing Iron because it is shaped like one Mr Whitefield has a field called the Gallia because it is so wet. We have another field called the "hollow Ground because it is low lying. Johney Fox has a field called the Lime Kiln because there was a lime kiln at the foot of it. Mrs
