  1. About fifty years ago there lived a man whose name was Pat McBreen. He is dead now. Pat and his wife lived in Dernakesh. There is no trace of the house now.
He dreamed three nights after other that there was a crock of gold on Leinster's fort. One day he went down to the fort to dig for it. After three hours' digging he found an old box. He took the box and ran home with it. He was that proud of himself that he ran home without the spade. When his wife looked in the box there was nothing in it. When Pat came home he asked for the box and she said she threw it out. He thought she hid the gold for herself and he was going to kill her only she went to Scotland. It was a man named Markey that told this story first.
