  1. One time, a man was coming home from the fair of Bailieboro. He was about two miles from his home. He saw a big man out in the fields and he had a big dog with him. The dog hunted the rabbit out of the ditch. The rabbit ran across the road. The man caught hold of the rabbit. When he caught the rabbit the big man disappeared. The man was kicked home and he was very sick the next day. He could not walk ever after so if he let the rabbit go he would be all right, and the good people would not be angry.
