  1. Once upon a time about fifty years ago a man in Ardlow went to live to a house in Killenkere. He did not know that the house was haunted until one night when he came home after being out in a shower of rain. As he was drying his clothes by the fire and suddenly the fire disappeared and when he looked round him he saw a lady dressed in white going up the stairs with a lighted candle in her hand and the man got so frightened that he went away and never returned to that house again.
