  1. One night about 10 oclock a woman was crossing a field in Clomicmara when she saw a calf as big as a horse and he started to cry like an old woman.
    The woman went up to a house and when the men came back with the woman the calf was standing in the same place in the shape of a witch and when they looked again it had disappeared down in the ground. The next morning when they examined the ditch round the field it was burned to the ground.
    They say that it was a dog that bit the witch when she was in the form of a calf long long ago.
