  1. One evening long ago, a man was coming home from a fair in Kells. He had two pigs in a cart that he could not sell.
Someone called him as he passed Clonmacmara fort
He stopped and a crowd of little men came out of the fort and gathered round the cart.
They pinched the pigs and made them squeal.
They offered the man 10 gold sovereigns, for the pigs. He agreed and they all disappeared and the pigs were gone too.
He heard the fairy men say "Wait till we come back with the money!
He waited till day light but he never saw them or the pigs again but he could hear them laughing and mocking as he passed by many a time after that: "He is waiting for his money," they would shout and laugh.
