  1. One time in a house near Virginia there was a child born one night, it was left in a cot in a room. Then one night a knock came to the door and when it was opened there was nothing and then when they went to bed the heard the cot being rocked. They went down and saw a wee man at the cot. They asked him why he did come and he answered,
"To mind the baby from danger".
Before the man of the house could say anything the wee man was gone.
He was heard every night for long afterwards.
Then one night a wee man came and took the baby away and after 2 years it was left back and it was never taken again but when the door was locked at night it was found unlocked in the morning.
