It was from a man named John Mahoney I heard the following experiences.
He said that a certain man was returning home from a concert and he had to cross some fields. In one of those fields there was a moat in which fairies were supposed to dwell. When the man was passing the moat he was greatly surprised to see a white man riding a beautiful grey horse. The white man had no head and the horse had no legs but appeared to be floating about two feet above the ground. The little man had a whip in his hand and he struck the horse a few times with it, The horse began to go and floated around the moat three times. He then stopped suddenly and disappeared.- Collector
