I heard the following story from an old man in the neighbourhood. One day in the month of June some men were cutting hay and they happened to come across a weasel's nest with five young ones in it. They did not wish to harm them so they removed them to another part of the meadow. It happened that the men had a can of milk in a corner of the meadow and when the old weasel came back and found the young ones gone she went to the can of milk and spat into it. This poisoned the milk. On her way back she found her young ones. She was very pleased at this so she went back to the can and spilt every drop of the milk.
