    Long ago the people had not much food. Stampy they used to have all the time. Sometimes they used to have potatoes and fish or crushed oats. Every one had a quern and they used to grind the oats with it and then bake it in a big slab near the fire.
    If they would not have potatoes they would boil the turnips like potatoes and use them with fish.
