  1. Long ago the people used to make stampy cakes from potatoes. Out of the black potatoes they used to make stampy. They used to get a scraper and scrape all the dirt and skin off them. They used to make starch also out of potatoes. They used to boil them. When they used to be boiled they used to get a flannel rag and bruise them in the rag they used to get a clean bucket and put it under the potatoes when they used to be be bruising them. Then water used to drop out of them and into the bucket for a night and it used to thicken up. Then they used to get a saucepan and throw a fist of it into the saucepan and boil it. When it used be boiled they used take it up and leave it get cold, and it used to turn into powder. Then they used to mix it with
