  1. In olden times the people used to gather a large bundle of rushes. They used to put them drying over the fire for three or four days. When they were dried they used to peel the skin off them. They had a deep iron affair called a sligire where they used to melt the tallow and dip rushes into it one by one. They used to light the rushes and leave them on the sligire.
