the money-box, instead of taking a coin the crab took hold of his hand and kept him there until she came. When she came she asked him why he had come into her hut. He said that he was hungry and wanted some thing to eat but she sent him away hungry.
One day the Cailleach Bhéara was standing on a stone in Coulagh and she saw one of St. Patrick’s monks coming towards her. She got very angry. She spanned from Coulagh to Kilcatherine and the monk followed her. The Cailleach Bhéara had a wand and the monk snatched the wand from her and struck her with it, and turned her into a rock and that rock is still to be seen in Kilcatherine.
