    some dirt happened to fall into the meal when the sack was opened She took out the meal into the haggard to sieve it to take out the dirt and she sieved it all and as it was a very windy evening all the meal was blown away by the wind and scattered all over the farm. The crows and the other birds swooped down and soon had all the meal eaten up. When her husband arrived she up and told her story to him. He was terribly upset & told her to lock the door & rake out the fire & they'd go seek their fortune. She put the fire in her apron and the door on her back & went after him. He turned & saw her & ran back & put out the fire They went on and on until night fell & they found themselvces in a strange part of the country. It was very lonely & no houses were near & they were so tired travelling that they could go no further. They came to a large tree at last and decided to sleep in the tree. They brought the
