  1. Before the Glen school was built there lived a man in the glen in an old house which the people left and he told the children to come to him each day for education. They did so for a while but they began to leave him again so then he went from house to house teaching the children and whatever number of children were in the house he stayed that number of days in the house. By this work he was doing, the people of the house gave him food and he never asked any pay for his work.
