    In my school area there is still to be found traces of early inhabitation, namely old forts and duns. These old forts are found in the townlands of Kilraine, Drimnasillagh, Leterilly and Stranaghlough.
    In the townland of Drimnasillagh still stands the ruins of a cashel or what the people call a castle. These ruins are said to have been once upon a time a beautiful castle in which there lived a king.
    These ruins are now inhabited by fairys
