- Long ago when there were not many Doctors the old people had old cures of their own. The cure that they had for pains was to get brushwood and boil it. The cures that the had for a cough was to make docken tea. The cure that they had for the measles was to make nettle tea and it would cure them. The cure the had for warts was if you would come to a hole in a stone and you not looking for it and water it and rub that water on them it would cure them.
