    But now I'm far away from you;
    I'll climb that hill no more;
    Or listen to the lark's loud song
    that sings o'er Cappamore
    When letters come from home to me,
    'tis sadly I lament.
    The cruel fate that tempted me when far
    from you I went;
    I cheer myself in spite of all,
    But still I can't ignore
    The fact that Fate has severed
    us - my own dear Cappamore.
    And never while this heart can
    beat shall I forget you dear,
    Though absent from my longing gaze,
    in dreams you still are near;
    Oh, never till my race is run, and
    span of life is o'er
    Shall I forget those grand old
    days I spent round Cappamore.
