    Hidden Treasure
There is a lot of treasure supposed to have been hidden in the parish of Cappamore and Murroe. Some people say that it was hidden by the Danes and rich lords.
I visited a neighbour's house the other night and heard a story about hidden treasure. It was supposed to be hidden by the Burkes in Brittas Castle, which is no in ruins, near Eyon, in the parish of Murroe. There were two brothers whose names were John and Michael Donovan living in Abington which is also in the parish of Murroe, and when they heard about the treasure they said they would try and find it but before the could get it some one of them should lose their life.
One day they started off on their journey, and when they reached the spot where it was hidden, they began digging
Tras-scríofa ag duine dár meitheal tras-scríbhneoirí deonacha.
