When he had lit the match he lit his pipe and threw away the match not taking any precaution to extinguisher it. He went away home and the match still burning. It caught fire to some rubbish of hay and thus caught fire to the dry turf. That evening as he was going for the cows he saw the fire over at his stack. He went over to it and to his mortification the last turf of his stack was dying into cold ashes.
