  1. In olden times there lived in Drimnasillagh a man called Thomas Gallagher. He was a great huntsman. One day while he was following a hare he jumped over a crock. He followed the hare hoping to find it when he would return for he wished to get the gold. When he returned he was very sorry for not letting the hare go and take the gold for there was no gold. On Patrick Craig's land there is a mound round the spot. Many attempts were made to dig up the crock but they failed.
