  1. Long ago people made their own candles. They melted some suet and they pealed nearly all the green that covered the pith. Then they twisted two or three leaves around each other and dipped it in the fat. They then left them up to harden.
    The people long ago never knew about the modern dyes. If they had any white clothes to dye, they got about half a pot of water and put log wood into the pot. Then they put in coporas
