    The waters clear of Rackavar.
    Leaves bright sand in its track.
    While your Liffey waters, Mike agradh,
    Are muddy, foul and black.
    And in the Spring when small birds sing
    And young lambs sport and play
    No bird you'll hear to delight your ear
    Nought but the watchdog's bay.

    Each evening fine as we go out.
    We can hear the small birds sing.
    While in your city all is foul
    With tramcars noisy ring.
    I now conclude by telling you.
    I must describe its grandeur still.
    For I mentioned only very few.
    Of the sights of Rathskeagh Hill.
