  1. There are great numbers of games I play during the Summer time namely: "Skittles", "Hop on the Granny or else you go down", "Bat and ball", and "Frog jumping".
    As many as possible can play Skittles. There are five little bits of sticks put standing on their ends on the ground. There is a number on every stick. Three of them are put standing in a row and the other two are put each side of them. There are five other sticks about a foot long for throwing at the others. Every man gives in a penny.
    If you knocked down the five small ones you would have a certain number if if you won the game or reached one hundred you would get the money. "Hop on the Granny" is played with one big stone. Give or six boys have smaller stones in their hands. They throw them at the big one saying these words "Hop on the granny or else you go down". If you missed the stone you would be put your's down on top of it and put a name on it. They others when they are throwing their stones say this name. When they have all finished and have not the little stone knocked they try to get down
