    Cornán is the name of a field belonging to Mr Mullaly, Johnstown Mullingar.
    Fear na cullen is the name of a field at Mount Murrough.
    The cealtra is now the name of a field which was a grave-yard in former times. Nowbody can plough it now, for if they tried to, the horses would not go, or the plough would be broken, or something would happen to the person who tried to plough it. If you went into the field at night you would go astray.
    The molt house field is so called because there was a house in it formerly, but only the ruins remain now.
    The clochanna is so called because there are heaps of stones here and there through the field.
