  1. There is a path known as the fairies path up near Milltown, and there are two houses built on this path.
    There was a fair in Ballynacargy on the first of April, and the boys in one of these homes happened to be going to the fair the following morning.
    Some of their relatives remained up late to call them early for the fair.
    At twelve o'clock they could hear great rumbling noises about the place, and when they called the boys later, they said it must be the fairies passing through the house on their way down to the other house on the path.
    After some time the noise died
