- When we are going to have rain the soot falls down from the chimney. It is a sign of rain to see the crows fly low going to their roosts, and to hear the ducks and geese quackle loudly and to see the cement floors damp.
When the sun is sinking if the western sky is copper colour or if there is a halo around the moon it is a sign of rain. It is a sign of frost when the stars are glittering.
