    Irish. Her name is Mrs. Sheehan, Ballyvaloon, Grenagh, Co. Cork. The townland is not mentioned in any song of saying.
    About two thirds of the land is good the remainder is hilly and boggy.

  2. I live in the townland of Rathduff, Grenagh, Barony of the Barretts. There are about twenty seven families and about one hundred and twenty people in the district. Walsh is the most common name. Four old people live in it. They are,- Mrs. McDonnell, Rathduff, Grenagh, Co. Cork. Mr. John Maher, Rathduff, Grenagh, Co. Cork. Mrs. Murphy, Rathduff, Grenagh, and Mr. Curtain, Rathduff, Grenagh. They can tell stories in English but not in Irish.
