   Are idle now forever
   I am sorry for to say,
   Where the boys could work at eventime at the game called pitch and toss,
   You could have a fight or drink all night
   In Dear Old "Sally's Cross"

   And Springgrove on the hill above,
   Where the lambs do sport and play,
   The Thrushes and the Blackbird sing all day,
   Poll Graddy and the Barrack,
   And the public house you'd pass,
   Which was kept neat and clean
