    Timothy O'Connell Greenan Kanturk was a great man for catching hares and rabbits by throwing salt on their tails when he would get near them.
    Michael Shanahan Greenane, Kanturk was a great walker, he used walk about 30 miles to fairs and he was a quick runner also.
    Timothy O'Connor Balluclough Mallow was a great jumper. He jumped many high poles at races and sports. He was one of the best jumpers that could be found around this district. His brother was also a great jumper.
    Mr Richard Kunan Strand Street Kanturk was a powerful swimmer when he was young. All his sons and daughters now are noted for their skill in swimming.
    Mr Arthur Cagney Kilbrin Kanturk was a great mower. He would cover about five or six acres a
