  1. A few days after Our Lord's birth He had to fly into Egypt because Herod the king wanted to kill Him. As the Holy Family were going along through the desert they saw the soldiers coming after them. Our Lady, St Joseph and Our Lord hid in a hollow tree by the wayside. While they were there a spider made its web across the entrance.
The soldiers were going to search the tree until they saw the web. They thought when they saw the web that no one could have passed in. They never searched and our Lord escaped.
