  1. The most harmful weeds that trouble the farmer here are - Dock roots, squitch grass, blackbuttons, ferns. The worst of all is the hemlock. A farmer had seven sows which he left out for exercise. They came at this hemlock & the seven perished Another one hated by the farmers is garlic. This tastes the milk and the butter & people won't buy either if tainted with garlic.
