    you pay more than they cost.
    Before now it was regarded as unlucky to sell things on certain days. At that time the markets were held in the local towns and are still held there.
    In years gone by there were "hucksters" going around from one house to another selling and buying various articles. There were also pedlars and dealers in rags, feathers, aand bottles going around from house to house through the country. But of late years these travellers do not come around this district so frequently.
    In past years there were coins used in this district which are gone out of use at the present day.
    For instance a crown or a four-penny are not used now and they
