  1. Shops were not common in this district in olden times and people usually had to go to the local town to make purchases. In those days it was not supposed to be lucky to sell or buy things after Mass on Sunday.
    At that time there were words connected with buying and selling such as "boot", tick" "change", and "cant".
    If a person was exchanging an animal or an article of inferior quality for a better one and had to pay some money with it this money was called "boot".
    To get an article on "tick" is to get it some time before you are able to pay fo it.
    "Change" is the money you get back afer paying for goods when
