    There was no chimney on this house. The fire was put in the middle of the house. It was sometimes fixed in the sidewall.
    There is a house also in our district which formerly belonged to John McGuine who lived in it about forty years ago.
    This house was built of seeds and clay and a small hole in the wall for a window.
    The window was usually made of daub, clay or brick long ago.
