On the Twelfth Night there are twelve candles lighted on a griddle. The griddle is first slightly heated so that the candles would stick to it. Each member of the family claims a candle for himself. The owner of the candle that burns out first will die first, and the owner of the candle that burns out last will die the last. When the candles are lighted the Rosary is said.
