When the young birds come out there is nothing on them but down. When they are about a month the feathers come on them. We call the duck the same way as we call the geese. The turkey is another domestic fowl. Its egg is about the same size as a hen egg. When the young turkeys come out they are a little bigger than a chicken. Their food is hard boiled eggs till they are about two weeks old. When we are calling the turkeys we say "Eep eep".
