    at the water of the tub. The little girl told her that the water was moving. After a little while she told her to look again. This time the wooden dish was turned mouth undermost on the water and she said to the little girl. "Come away my work is done". At the very moment the boats capsized and all were drowned and the old woman was never seen again. One hundred boats were lost and it was the greatest loss ever happened on the Donegal coast. The old woman gave her name as Biddy Devanny of Ballyshannon.
