  1. Long ago the people had different ways for making candles to that of nowadays. One of these ways was to melt suet on an old pot. Then they got a rush and pealed off partly all the outside covering and covered it over with some of the suet. Then they left it on a plate to get hard like an ordinary candle.
    The old people also had ways for making thread. They got wool first and carded it with carders. Then they teased the wool again into a large heap and again carded it and made rolls of it. They had a
