There is a house in the parish of Killimer in the townland of Danagrogue which is supposed to be haunted and whoever would look into a room that is in the house would die instantly. In olden days when people were carting stones to Ennis Mr. Talty the owner of the house was returning home one night with his horse and cart after his days work a red haired woman came and sat on the opposite side of the cart with him and she had a child in her arms. The woman spoke no word and when they came as far as the hall door she vanished. It is supposed that it is this child that is seen now in the haunted room spinning and weaving.
One day a man was ploughing and he hit a flag, he lifted it and found a large amount of money. He sent the servant boy home and when he returned the money had vanished.
