“At one time St. Senan's father had sown a field of wheat which was destroyed by crows rooting and carrying off the grain.”
At one time St Senan's father had sown a field of wheat which was destroyed by crows rooting and carrying off the grain. When Sunday came his father told St Senan to stay at home from mass and to keep the crows out of the wheat. St Senan was unwillingly to do this because he did not like to miss mass.
When his father was gone to mass St Senan went out to the garden and called all the crows together and he commanded them all to go into the cabin. He then put a bush in the door and went to mass. His father saw him at mass and questioned why he had disobeyed him. St Senan told him that the crows need not trouble him for the time being. When St Senan came home his father beat him because he did not stay at home to keep the crows out of the wheat. On going out he was surprised to see all the crows in the cabin and the bush in the door. He knew then that it was by a miracle. St Senan put the crows into the cabin and that God had chosen him to do his work.- Bailitheoir
