There are the remains of a lime kiln in Mr. Tom Mulooly's field in Fermoyle. They used to break the stones and put them in the kiln. Turf was put in and lighted. It burned the lime stones into lime.
A man named Skelly used to catch snipes in traps. In frosty weather he used to make 3 & 5 a week. He used to catch them in the stream which flows from St. Martin's well to the Shannon.
- The late Thomas Hanly, Lismacamus used to make baskets from sally rods and he sold them in the neighbourhood.
The late Francis Connaughton, Carraroe, used to make rush candles and put grass in them for wicks.
The late Tom Casserly, Cashelbeg made wooden ploughs and wooden gates for(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile) - Bailitheoir
