  1. It is believed that mass was said at Lady's Well Derrdarragh, Newtowncashel. There is a rock beside the well with words written on it about mass but the words cannot be discerned now. There were Protestants living beside the well long ago and they closed up the well. But it sprang up the other side of the wall.
    Pilgrims visit the well every year between the 15th August and the 11th September to do stations. Te water of that well will cure headaches.
