  1. Once upon a time a man from this country went to a foreign country to earn his living. When he was some years there and had some money earned he got sick and was about to die. The priest and doctor attended him and said there was no chance of his recovery. He asked the doctor to write to his mother and let her know, and he also said he had one hundred and fifty pounds which he wanted to send her. The doctor asked for his fee which he said was one hundred pounds. The priest said also he was entitled to fifty pounds. Then all his money was gone. Still he asked the doctor to write home and tell his mother he died like Christ between two thieves.
