- In the county Westmeath, in a place called Moyvore, there lived a farmer named Mulvany 100 years ago, and he found a pot of gold. This is how he found it. He was driving out cow out of a tillage field, and he stooped down at the hedge to pull a branch by the roots to drive the cow.
As he pulled up the branch he saw a pot with gold in it. The present owner of the pot, Michael Mulvanly, is a grandson of of the man who found it. He still has the pot - it is made of bronze, and he values it very highly. It is on the mantlepiece in a room, but he would not(continues on next page)- Collector
