    Marriages takes place most frequently during Shrove and the month of June. It is unlucky to get married on a Saturday or during the month of May. Matches are usually made and money is usually given as a dowry.

    Burns
    Mrs Daly Clonmellon can make Carron Oil and it cures burns. She makes it out of linseed oil and lime.

    Sprained Ankles
    When people get sprained ankles they get goose grease and rub it to their ankles.

    Chilblains
    Mrs Crawford Killallon cures chilblains by mixing red soap and goats milk

    Thrush
    Herbs and mutton suet made into ointment

    Whooping Cough
    Food left behind by a ferret is taken

    Bust
    Pat Martin Killua has the cure and will not disclose it.
