The man kept her for a couple of years and she had five white heifer calves. The wife said to her husband that it was better to sell her. When he was ready to start to the fair with the cow she ran off with her tail in the air and the five calves after her. The man lost sight of them. He searched for them and they were never found since.
If he had never interfered with the cow he would never have wanted for cattle after.
