He walked up and down and met a man who asked him what he was looking for. He also told him that he dreamt of a man in Wicklow who had a bush in his garden under which was buried a crock of gold.
The Irishman went home and looked for the crock.
He dug in the garden and found a crock of gold. A big stone covered the crock on which was inscribed some Latin characters.
He kept the stone safe in a hiding place.
