out of it for a long time, and he told the woman to go home and churn again. She churned again and got no butter. She churned for a good many times and got no butter, so she went back to the priest and he read again, and he told her if she'd churn on a Sunday, the person who was taking the butter would walk in and to offer them a brash. So the next Sunday she churned, and a little woman came in, and the woman offered her a brash and she took it, and then the little woman went to go out the back door, but it was closed and stuffed with sheaves of straw and she had to go out the front door. When the Churning was finished it was a sight all the butter she had off it. She said she'd churn on a Sunday anymore, so the next Sunday she was churning again, and the same little woman came in and took a brash, and as the back door was opened this time she went out on it. The woman churned away, but of she churned till the eyes fell out of her no butter would come so she said to herself:- "Its an old saying and a true one. if a person come in on the front door and goes out on the back door while you are churning they cane take the butter off your churn"
